Commercial Spray Foam Insulation in a Dayton Winery Production Building

Condensation is the last thing you want around wine production. At Roserock's production facility in Dayton, another contractor had installed the wrong insulation, and the building was dealing with heavy condensation because of it. Vale was brought in to correct the problem with commercial spray foam insulation done to the architect's plans.

Project Details

Location: Dayton, Oregon
Project type: Commercial, winery production building
Service: Commercial spray foam insulation
Material: 2 inches of closed cell spray foam (Carlisle SealTite Pro HFO) with an intumescent fire-protective coating

Condensation Where You Least Want It

Moisture in a production building is more than a nuisance. Condensation tends to show up when the insulation in a building doesn't suit the job, and it can cause trouble for the building and for what happens inside it. For a winery, keeping that space dry and controlled matters even more.

What We Found

The existing insulation was the wrong product for this building, and it was causing heavy condensation. Making things trickier, all the mechanical piping and wiring was already in place, so there was very little room for error.

Our Commercial Spray Foam Insulation Solution: Closed Cell Spray Foam

Following the architect's plans, our crew installed 2 inches of closed cell spray foam, using Carlisle SealTite Pro HFO. Because the piping and wiring were already installed, the crew worked carefully around everything instead of rushing through it. Once the foam was in, we finished it with an intumescent fire-protective coating.

The Result: Condensation Solved

The condensation issue is solved, and the work passed the owner's third-party inspection.

Is Your Building Struggling With Condensation?
