A pole barn is only useful if you can control the temperature inside it. This Silverton pole barn needed exactly that before it could be put to use, so a general contractor brought Vale in to handle the pole barn insulation. The building's height made it a tricky one, but our crew got every section done properly.

A Pole Barn That Needs a Steady Temperature
Pole barns are open, tall buildings, and without insulation they follow the weather outside. Oregon gives them plenty to deal with, from wet winters to hot summers. Before this barn could be used the way its owner planned, it needed to hold a comfortable, steady temperature year round.
What We Found
The structure was tall, which meant a lot of wall area sitting well out of reach from the ground. Reaching and insulating every section properly was going to take more than a standard setup.
Our Pole Barn Insulation Solution: 6½ Inches in Every Cavity
We filled the cavities with 6½ inches of insulation, which is the standard for this type of building. The biggest challenge was the height. We brought in special equipment so our crew could safely reach each section and get the insulation in right, without skipping the spots that are hard to get to.
The Result: A Barn Ready for Any Weather
The result is a pole barn that holds a steady temperature and is ready for Oregon's wet winters and hot summers.
